I used to draw video game levels in my notebooks. I loved writing and drawing comic books. I made little plays with my friends and performed them. But the art I spend the most time on is music. Even when life got busier and more serious, I could never really kick the habit of creating things. With the help of the enormously talented mentors I've been lucky enough to know, I like to think I've gotten pretty good at some of the skills used in creating music.
I teach kids and adults piano and guitar at a few places in the Philadelphia area. I do audio engineering for my friends' projects and sometimes professionally. I play in an eight person punk rock band with an orchestral section where everyone dresses up like pirates.
Most musicians just use a Linktree or something to spread the info about their music. If they're really fancy maybe they'll have a site with Squarespace or Bandzoogle. I thought this would be more fun, so I created it, and kept working on it until I decided I like it. Hopefully whatever speaks to me about this kind of website speaks to you too. That's art.
